A Leader, a mother, and a wife
Born in Tennessee, and still in Tennessee with my lovely family. Over the years, I have really evolved into the person I am today and learning to love the way my brain works. How did I get here?
Grew up in a small Tennessee town where most of my family still live.
Attended college at the University of TN - Knoxville [Go Vols] for graphic design and art history.
During school, I worked basically full time and this was when I got into radio fun story there.
Knowing I wanted to be in Nashville, I packed up and moved the day after graduating thinking I wanted to work as a designer or art curator or radio promotions. My brain was already trying to figure out where it wanted to be.
Landed my first role in a sales support position and graphic designer for digital media ads for a radio cluster [12 years later, still here]. Actually met my now husband here.
Knowing I was ambitious, ready to learn and grow, I continued to raise my hand to learn as digital media continued to explode and integrate with traditional media.
As time went on, I was able to lean into event marketing, social media content, promotions planning, digital media, and management.
Fast forward to 2018, 2 BIG things happened. I became a Mom to a lovely baby girl. And I was able to move into my first leadership role which moved my family to Atlanta.
Less than 1 year later, our company evolved once again to create a digital operations hub and we moved back to Nashville to help start that teams.
4 years later, I have learned how much I enjoy leading teams, collaborating with individuals, mentoring hires, and learning & development structuring.
I can’t wait to see what the future looks like.
